If you ever watched the cartoon youd probably realise that they dont talk. This was the only time they did talk. They never talked in their episodes, Tom & Jerry kids, Tom & jerry:The magic ring, or even in their video games.

I grew up on Tom & Jerry and now my nephew loves the Saturday morning reruns. I came looking on Amazon to get some of the dvd’s for him, I was so excited when I saw they have a movie. When we watched the movie we both found it quite creepy, it was nothing like the cartoon. We were looking forward to funny cat and mouse chases instead we got Tom and Jerry in a musical with songs I wouldn’t condiser appropriate for young children.

Good lord, why are they re-issuing this film? With the hundreds of Tom and Jerry cartoons made for theaters and television from 1940-1980, all of which were much more watchable, why do we need to see this stupid movie again?

  5. This isn’t Tom and Jerry. It’s a sad imitation of 101 Dalmations – the old, evil version – and NOT a good one.

Why does everyone hate this movie? Because they are expecting Tom and Jerry. My kids LOVE Tom and Jerry – you know, the cat and the mouse who chase each other around and DON’T TALK?

This is a movie about Tom and Jerry’s evil twins, who both speak and sing together – and an orphaned little girl who is treated worse than Cinderell by her extraordinarily wicked aunt, and a dogcatcher who not only can’t sing, but is evil, too. Not only is there no cat-mouse action in this movie after the first ten minutes, but the duo takes a back seat to a god-awful story that can only be described as very poor Disney imitation. VERy poor. The kind of poor that makes me sorry to use Disney’s good name in this review.

If your kids like Tom and Jerry, RUN from this movie. Get the old ones – there are plenty to watch without ever having to sit through this dribble. This is the worst kids movie I’ve ever seen.
