this movie is by far the worst I have ever seen, its unbiblical, holds no water what so ever, I would not want my kids seeing this type of rediculous movie, for one its not Christian, 2 peter is called the “rock” instead of Christ, he also said that upon peter the church (which is the *elect* or *called out ones* those who are born again in Christ that is by the way)will be built, why would GOD build his church upon a fallible man instead of building it upon the massive giant rock which is him, the Christ the son of the living God? also if you read where it says “thou art peter, upon this rock I will build my church” if you also read a few verses before that, its made clear that the foundation which is laid is upon Christ, so how can it be peter? the scriptures are clear on that one so to say that peter is the rock is completely a contradiction and completely unscriptural,it doesnt say upon you peter I will build my church, complete add on, not bible, its blasphemy…. many verses are left out completely, the verse where Jesus says “it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of GOD” that is completely missing, it only states it is written man shall not live by bread alone, what happened to the rest of the verse?? This is such a dissapointment for a movie, I would suggest you to not even buy it because it is a waste of money and time. Also another part in the movie where they ask Jesus, what must I do to be saved? and he answered to love your neighbor, how does loving your neighbor, take you to heaven? We cant do nothing in our part to be saved it is a gift from God, the finished work of the cross has nothing to do with loving “our neighbor” completely unbiblical, if it were up to me I would put a zero for ratings, why not take it out of the bible instead of adding so much and taking away from the scriptures, its a shame that there cant be a movie made without being completely destroyed and corrupted by mans fallible mind. Kids see these types of movies and yet they can get the wrong message out of it, its about spreading the truth not sugar coating it to suit people or to please people but to please God. Another part I disliked about the movie was with mary and martha, Jesus never told martha to take it easy, infact when martha complained at Jesus about mary because she was not helping her but instead she was listening to Jesus’s words and what did he say “Luke 10:41-42..And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Sadly they left this part out also, once again this joke of a movie holds no water what so ever, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone a true Christian would not agree to such a movie as this, Gods word is important and not to be played with at all, or taken from or added too… what a dissapointment.

There was a part in this movie when one of the disciples asked Jesus what a person must do to be saved. If I remember right Jesus answered to believe in Him and to love thier neighbor. This is not Biblical. Yes the Bible says to love your neighbor, but that is not what will save you. Only faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross can save you and ensure eternal life.

  3. This has parts form several gospels plus lots more, not very authoritative, in fact some may get an incomplete message if they watch this to learn about The LORD Jesus Christ.

I got this movie to watch with my kids and found myself so engrossed in it, I am a member of the Church Of Christ and we baptize and I was so happy for once to see the emersion in a film. This movie was the closest thing I have seen to the Bible in a long time. I laughed with Jesus, I cried with Jesus, I felt Jesus pain when the people mocked him. It showed the pain he went through, and the betrayals. My whole family cried when he was crucified, I think we all need to see this and come to realize how much he truly loves us.

  5. I loved this movie, man. However I can’t give it anything higher than a single star. It could have been great but for one very important issue. The Centurion who is present when the earthquake occurred during Christ’s crucifixion states “Truly this was A Son of God!” WRONG! Read the Bible my friends, the Centurion said: Matthew 27:54 “Truly this was THE Son of God!”

Whether this was simply a misspoken or flubbed line, some slack oversight by the writer, or an intentional, calculated misrepresentation of the Word of God designed to throw confusion into the mind of the viewer.. I don’t know. If I had been working on this project and I’m sure this movie was proof-edited before being released, I would have caught that. Man, when that scene came up it literally hit me like a ton of bricks, man. Did he just say “A Son of God?” NO, NO Please, I hope I didn’t hear it correctly. I had to play it again just to make sure… Yes, they screwed it up, man. Shame. Other than that, I REALLY, REALLY liked this movie. I wanted to love it, to give it honor and stuff you know. But that one glaring little bit just derailed the whole love affair I was having with this flick, man. I thank God for movies about Jesus, man. I love the Lord and I want His Words to be remembered accurately. This is not a small issue in my opinion.. Of all the lines, of all the scripture that they could have tweaked, THIS is not one that should have been touched. Don’t mess with the Personage of Jesus, man. I thank God for showing me the truth in these matters. I share them with you. THANKS GOD! (Spoken while pointing both index fingers toward the Heavens!)
