One of the disks was warped, hence the player rejected it. The other disk was playable, but the one that arrived damaged, was the one on which my favorite episode was taped. Oh well. Otherwise, the order was shipped very quickly and arrived well within the promised delivery time.

It became fairly obvious that by the time Season Five rolled around, that the producers had either found new writers,or the original writers had lost all initiative, or the job was outsourced to India. This was evident by the loss of personality of the cast, the lack of interlacing between the characters that was the key to the success of the original script. The absence of Rob Morrow was sadly missed, he was one of the nails that held the vehicle together, and a short appearance here and there hardly enough to continue on .Congratulations to the producers of Seinfeld and others ,that knew enough to quit on a high note.

  4. I bought all of the Northern Exposure DVD’s for my daughter, who loved this television show. I don’t believe that she had a problem with the 1st Season; however, I bought the rest of the seasons and was giving them to her for birthdays and Christmas (one at a time). I realize that it is partially my fault for not watching them as soon as I got them, but I always felt that it was a bit ‘tacky’ to open a gift and view it before you gave it away. Anyway, by the time I gave the DVD’s to her, it was too late to return them. She has opened three of them, and each of them have a problem with stopping during the DVD so it is impossible to view it. I tried to return one and was told that it was too late, so ordered another one for her. She went to China with the Peace Corps and did not have the time to view it before she left, so I opened it and viewed it. Same problem…and once again…too late to return it. I have never been disappointed with anything I have bought through Amazon.com before, but would highly recommend that you NOT buy this product. I can’t imagine that it is just the ones that I bought that do not work….

I purchased this dvd as a gift and I’ve gotten no complaints, so I must assume that everything is just fine. The shipment was sent to me and it was received in good time and in good shape.
