I ordered the Jesse Stone DVD’s, and although they seemed a bit expensive, I decided they were worth it before I placed the order. And as usual with anything I order online, it took too long to get here, but had it arrived the next day, it would have taken too long! And I have yet to see a one of them! They have been leaving the house to go with other members of the family since they arrived, and if they don’t return soon, I’ll have to resort to brute force. Not really, but they are very popular with all my family, so they must be really entertaining. Hopefully I shall find out myself one day soon.

We certainly enjoy the Jesse Stone series and plan to continue to buy all the DVD’s that Tom Selleck puts out. Even thought Mr. Parker is gone I am sure that the story line will be continued.

  4. I’ve got Robert B Parker on the brain. Tom Selleck potrays the Jesse Stone character very well. I think the director could have taken a harder line with all in sundry characters they seem to float by un-noticed. Molly doesn’t suit a the actress as Parkers character was a white catholic with a bit of sass. This character lacked sex appeal and spunk.

The product arrived in good condition and I am happy to have it as a collector.

Tom Selleck is just right for the role of Jessie Stone. He has improved with age and is much better in the Stone series than in Magnum PI of the 80s. It will be a pleasant surprise for fans that have not seen him in a long time. The setting, a small town in the Northeast, is perfect for the tale of a former LA dectective starting over as a police chief in a town where “nothing ever happens”. Each episode stands alone, so it is not necessary to see them in order, though I did buy all and enjoyed each one.
