Overall, a bad customer experience but a minor blocker in accessing the content.

It’s interesting though that while NBC left iTunes in a snit because Apple wouldn’t bow to their price gouging (NBC wanted to charge $4.99 per episode vs. Apple’s $1.99), and now Amazon distributes this content for exactly that price!?

I’m guessing that the UNBOX (terrible name) currently has a fraction of the users drawn by iTunes, and this play is another Apple doomsday forecast… But does anyone have educated insight?

The episodes I saw sucked (granted, I finally gave up six episodes in) and they want me to pay $26 for 11 episodes? I think I’ll sell my first season DVD on CraigsList instead and wait for a show that doesn’t feel the need to rip off the X-Men, Watchmen, and every other comic book ever written. The highly overrated first season was OK. The second season was unwatchable.

I find it hard to believe Amazon is not making it possible for MAC users to watch these shows. I guess I will stick to iTunes!

Our household made the switch from PC to Mac about a year ago. Now we’re hooked on Heroes but can’t watch the second half of season 2 because there is no way to download to the Mac. Are they kidding? Mac may be a small market, but a lot of Apple fans are in the demographic for this show. In a year of operating a Mac, this is the first time I couldn’t do something on it–so I gotta say the problem is Amazon, not the Mac.

I hope Amazon doesn’t underestimate the fervor of Mac users for their product. Once you use a Mac, you don’t want to go back. I could buy Windows for my Mac and download Heroes. However an irritation-free computing life has become important to me–probably more important than Heroes. I’m a loyal Amazon customer (and spend a good bit here) but feel strongly enough about Mac versus PC that if Amazon doesn’t correct this problem soon I will take all my business elsewhere.

All that said, Heroes is an amazing TV show–great drama and great SF. I get hooked on only about 2-3 tv shows in a decade and this is one of them!

EDITED TO ADD: These episodes are now available free on nbc.com with a small number of commercials. So no reason to buy them here anyway.

I don’t know what extra’s could possbly rate a $40 price tag for this. It’s only half a season, and a terrible one at that. Too many new characters are introduced without bothering to flesh them out, which takes time away from developing the current cast and in the end, everyone is pretty much back where they started from by the end of the season.

Season 1 was great, and works as a self contained story arc and

I do hold out hope for season 3, but season 2 isn’t even worth renting.
