Good news, everyone, the third DVD volume of Futurama is just as funny as ever–irreverent, boundlessly inventive, warmhearted, and chock-full of in-jokes, sight gags, and fleeting references to all manner of pop-culture icons and obscure genre classics. In fact, if the show has a problem, it’s that it’s all so lovingly crafted that scarcely a frame goes by without something both funny and clever going on: when a horse wins a race by a quantum fraction, Prof. Farnsworth fulminates, “You changed the result by observing it!” Recurring minor characters (Elzar the chef, the robot mafia, the mutants in the sewers) pop up u… More >>

I’ve caught this disaster a few times in it’s pointless existence in syndication after Family Guy on the cartoon network. I tried to give it a chance, being a big fan of older Simpsons shows and Family Guy, but the dry sense of humor it’s characters constantly belched out was torture and I can’t believe people waste their money and time buying these dvds and watching them over and over. I only gave this show a few comments here to warn people about how terrible it is. It’s no wonder that they had to settle on Billy West and Peggy Bundy as the main voice ‘talent.’I think Matt Groening jinxed himself with the few seasons he made of this show before it was cancelled, because it seems that lately The Simpsons is headed down the same path. I couldn’t care less if you disagree with my opinion, or if you don’t want to take my word for it, I know what is funny and what is not. Fans of this garbage should be ashamed of themselves, while people with a good sense of humor should know that Family Guy will soon make it’s triumphant return to Fox, and Futurama will NOT(Ha Ha). Giggity Giggity Giggity!

in my opinion, the simpsons is the best cartoon show ever to be shown on TV. When my friends showed me Futurama and said it was better then the Simpsons, I had to not agree with them. Same with Family Guy. The Simpsons is funnier then Family Guy.

These cartoons are written in such a way so as to express all manner of humor, base or otherwise, with subtlety, and sometimes with no subtlety at all. Normally, Cartoons tend to express innocense or simplicity, these do not, let the buyer be aware, and let the buyer think carefully before purchasing these for children, as they may not be suitable for same given the content and portent. Other than the aformentioned, these cartoons can be very funny.
