Such a simple idea–yet so fiendishly complex in the execution. 24, as surely everyone knows by now, is a thriller that takes places over 24 hours, midnight to midnight, in 24 one-hour episodes (well, 45-minute episodes if you subtract the commercials). Everything takes place in real time, which means no flashbacks, no flash-forwards, no handy time-dissolves. 2. Unrealistic and boring, pitted against super enemies and super criminal organizations One Jack Bauer is enough to save the world. Is he the new James Bond or superman? He acts like he is invincible, or immortal. He even does not duck the bullets. Also with passing seasons he has to beat more tough opponents, I believe in the end the producers will give him the King Kong or the aliens to beat.

  4. By the time we hit noon I hated that show. I know the plan was to do everything in real time (reel time?), but for God sake the girl gets kidnapped 3 times in 24 hours? We had lesbian lover assasins, drug selling teen kidnappers, Eastern Europopean terrorist, a manipulating presidential candidates wife (not to mention his killer son.) and a half dozen secret goverment agencies. And did we really need the male prostitute in the alley scene? Oh yeah, it was Fox. The 24 hour gimmick just didn’t work for me. Not a terrible idea, but not well executed. The thing that bothers me most was the DVD is referred to as “24 Season 1″.

So i look at the pre order list and see 24 season 5 – great!

I see 25 reviews of a product not yet out so i am like wow.. this is

I then click reviews and see 25 sadcase fanboys telling us about the show not the product or extras or format etc.. sadcases.

Kids if you are reading these, its not out till December – so these reviews are a joke.
